Don’t we all love Julia Roberts? We grew up enjoying her films from “Pretty Woman” to “Erin Brockovich” to “Ocean’s 11″ – she’s always been a great actress and wonderful, down-to-earth celebrity. I love it when we get to see such celebrities become mothers. Julia’s twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, are 2 1/2, but she’s pregnant with a little boy. Don’t you love how beautiful she looks… in a pregnant-mother-I-know kind of way? We all have something in common at eight months pregnant, eh?
Choosing your baby’s name is a big deal, am I right? You’ve flipped through countless books and browsed the web fanatically. You’re looking for a name that’s unique, but not weird; one that will be well-liked, but not too popular. If you’re still searching for the right name, I came across an idea that might provide some inspiration: try removing a consonant from some of your favorite choices. Now before you shake your head, give it a try: “Madison” becomes “Addison”, “Jayden” becomes “Aiden”, “Kayla” becomes “Ayla”, “Olivia” becomes “Ivia”. You see where this is going. You can also remove consonants from the middle of names: “Kaitlyn” becomes “Kaylin”, “Jeremy” becomes “Jemy”. If you’d like a contemporary, artistic name, this may be your ticket! As it happens, I chose my daughter’s name, Aria, by shortening several of our favorites: Ariella, Arianna, and Ariel. Good luck!
